Introduction
This project shows a key stage in the production of made-to-measure trousers: the precise cutting of each piece that makes up the garment. This is not mass production, but work designed from the outset to fit a specific person and a specific pattern.
At Vanco Studio we approach this type of order from both a technical and craft perspective, combining design preparation, cutting precision and attention to detail at every stage of the process.
The pattern as the basis of made-to-measure work
Before cutting any material, it is essential to have a well-defined pattern. In the case of made-to-measure trousers, each piece follows specific proportions that determine the final fit of the garment.
The pieces shown in this project correspond to different parts of the trousers: legs, waistband and adjustment elements. All were prepared from a technical design adapted to real manufacturing.
Precision cutting for textile pieces
The pieces were cut with maximum precision and repeatability, which is essential when working with fabrics intended for garment production. A clean cut ensures that during sewing the pieces fit together correctly and maintain the shape intended in the design.
In custom manufacturing processes, using controlled cutting technologies makes it possible to optimise material and ensure that each piece is identical to the original pattern, something especially important for made-to-measure garments.
Advantages of technical cutting in custom tailoring
Working with precisely cut pieces offers clear advantages in made-to-measure garment projects. It reduces the margin for error, speeds up later assembly and produces a more professional finish in the final garment.
This approach is ideal both for personal projects and for small textile production runs where quality and fit take priority over quantity.
A process designed for craft work
Although cutting is carried out with precision tools, the final aim is to facilitate subsequent craft work. Each of these pieces is intended to be sewn and adjusted manually, respecting the original design concept.
This type of project fits perfectly with custom manufacturing, where each order is treated individually rather than as a standard product.
Custom manufacturing from Girona
From our workshop in Girona, we work both for local customers on the Costa Brava and for tailoring and custom manufacturing projects throughout Catalonia and the rest of Spain.
If you need cut pieces prepared for a textile project, a made-to-measure garment or custom production, we can help you turn your design into a set of pieces ready for sewing.
