Introduction
In diving, properly identifying equipment is not a minor detail. When several people share gear or a centre manages many units, fast and permanent marking prevents losses, confusion and wasted time. For this job we engraved reference codes on plastic tubes (PVC-type) to identify diving equipment, with a clean and durable finish.
At Vanco Studio we provide technical marking and personalisation from our workshop in Girona, working for local customers on the Costa Brava as well as orders throughout Catalonia and shipping across Spain. You can see all our services on this page.
What was engraved and why this format was chosen
The image shows a set of tubes marked with codes (R11, R12, R23, etc.). This type of marking works very well when the objective is to organise equipment by unit, assign it to users or inventory it by batch. It is a simple, legible system that is easy to maintain.
The key in this type of work is not just to “add a number”. It is to make the marking consistent in size, alignment and contrast, so it can be read at a glance even under real operating conditions.
Engraving technology: technical and durable marking
For durable marking, we use engraving technologies suited to the material and its end use. In general, when permanent marking that remains stable over time is required, fibre laser engraving is a very reliable solution for technical identification and numbering.
For non-metallic materials, we also offer CO₂ laser cutting and engraving. The choice depends on the exact material, the desired finish and the level of contrast required.
Important: not every “PVC” is processed in the same way
In everyday language, many plastics are called “PVC”, but they do not all react the same way to marking. For safety and to ensure a professional result, at Vanco Studio we validate the material before production. If necessary, we propose alternative technical plastics suitable for marking or adjustments to achieve the best contrast without compromising the finish.
If you want to see a general guide to materials and possibilities for non-metals, you can review what we can cut and what we can engrave.
Advantages of marking diving equipment with engraving
In environments with salt water, moisture, rubbing and intensive use, marking needs to be durable. Properly executed engraving avoids relying on markers or labels that peel off over time.
- Clear and permanent identification for inventory and equipment control.
- Better organisation in schools, diving centres and large groups.
- Clean finish, without adhesives or elements that can peel off.
When it is worth preparing the design before engraving
If the job requires a specific format (serial numbering, logos, names, QR codes or a specific order), the ideal approach is to prepare a technical template before production. For this we offer graphic design for manufacturing, with files ready for engraving without failed tests.
Custom marking from Girona for all of Spain
This type of project is common for sports equipment, schools, technical workshops or businesses that need to identify equipment reliably. If you need to mark tubes, plastic parts or equipment components with numbering or personalisation, we can help you plan the system and produce it to workshop quality.
